Psychovocational Assessments
This type of assessment incorporates all of the information
obtained by a vocational assessment with the client’s
psychological profile. This profile is developed through a
thorough examination of the client’s general intellectual
function, as well as current psychological status. Each
component of this evaluation is completed by the respective
specialist, that of a Certified Vocational Evaluator and a
Clinical Psychologist. The final conclusions and recommendations
of each professional are synthesized to provide a comprehensive
employability analysis taking into consideration all personal
and vocational characteristics, including possible psychological
implications/barriers, etc.
Such assessments are useful when an individual is suspected
of having psychological adjustment difficulties which are
presenting as barriers to the vocational reintegration process.
This evaluation usually requires 2 to 3 days to complete.
