Psychological Assessment
A general psychological assessment is done to determine the
need for psychological counseling, to give an opinion about
proposed treatment or progress over the course of treatment
and/or to make treatment recommendations. The assessment usually
consists of an interview and some standard pencil-and-paper-type
tests given at the discretion of the psychologist. The length of
the psychological assessment varies from a half day to two full
days.
