Experience
Incorporated in 1992, CVS has established itself in the Ottawa area as a provider of quality,
thorough and defensible assessments for the insurance industry, the legal profession, case management
companies, employers and The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.
Assessments are conducted to determine the presence of impairments and/or disabilities and to
provide treatment recommendations to address impairments and/or to
facilitate reintegration into work and daily living.
CVS has provided assessments for all impairment types
including musculoskeletal injuries, psychological impairments,
brain impairments, and spinal cord injuries.
Over the years CVS has expanded its services, in alliance
with other service providers, to offer a full range of
occupational rehabilitation consultations, vocational
assessments, disability assessments, and independent medical and
rehabilitation examinations. CVS provides a thorough assessment
of the individual with a view to assisting the person's
re-integration into the labour market, family and social life.
In addition to providing evaluations that assess an
individual's rehabilitation needs and his/her ability to perform
work or modified work, CVS is able to help employers to identify
strategies that will facilitate a person's return to work, which
serves to reinforce the self reliance of workers and employers
to manage the consequences of injuries when they do happen, and
the overall impact of the injuries on the individual's life.
CVS also conducts ergonomic assessments and has provided such
services to government departments, banks and the high tech
sector.
